Chinese international process safety research: Collaborations, research trends, and intellectual basis

This article presents a bibliometric analysis and mapping of the Chinese process safety research, focusing on contributions made in core journals influences international collaborations knowledge sources developments this research domain. Collaboration networks, term co-occurrence co-citation network were analyzed to identify trends, patterns, distribution safety. Work data has been clustered mainly chemical processes, fire explosion, risk management accidents. are concentrated only few journals, while corresponding intellectual base draws wider literature focused understanding modeling phenomena, broader literature, although lesser extent. While various foreign authors highly cited by authors, very direct with scholars identified. The results used as basis for discussion future directions community. Increased focus uncertainty treatment handling black swan events, evaluation economic aspects decisions, interorganizational management, road maritime transport hazardous substances, perception communication, integrated security assessment, highlighted fruitful scholarship. It is hoped that insights obtained from work can facilitate new consolidated collaborations, well further invigorate domain, ultimately contributing improved performance industries China elsewhere.
